I was recently asked to donate a skateboard for an exhibition put on by the Gold Coast Institute of Tafe. The exhibition was put on to raise money for the Mater Hospitals Art for Cancer Program. I was more than happy to donate a deck for such a great cause. So this is what I came up with. It is laser etched and spray painted. I had never done a laser etched board with this technique of adding colour before. It turned out great and had a great response on the night. They ended up raising over $4000 to go towards the charity.

Here is my latest collection of works called “High Seas”.
It is a collection of three main works with complimenting Wood Block Prints and one Laser Etched Framed Bottle.
The three main works are quite sculptural pieces that I have had rattling around in my head for a while now, so I finally got a chance to get them out of my head and into reality.
The collection has already been shown at the White Wash exhibition. A couple of pieces will be at the “Wax Off” exhibition this thursday night down in Torquay, Victoria which co-insides with the Bells Beach Surf comp.
I am putting together a clip to go along with this collection as well….. So Stay Tuned!!

I was asked to be involved with this years One Offs exhibition put on by Sneak and Destroy a little while ago.
The guys asked me to design the poster for them, as well as a submission for the exhibition. I was stoked to have been asked and I have attached the poster below.
One Offs is an evening for emerging and professional artist’s to showcase their talents by producing a ‘OneOff’ custom design on classic sneaker silhouette. This year it was at Comb Gallery and Neverland Bar, in Coolangatta. The other Artists involved were – Kid 9, Team Kitten, Shida, Claudio Kirac. Nick Chalmers, Layla Knight, Dane Williams, Squidtank, Sharna Martorella, and The Blind Kid.
This year SxD partnered up with Vans for the event…… so we got to go to town on a pair of plain white Vans.
I was running out of time to get my pair of Vans finished before I got married and went on my honeymoon. As the exhibition was on the day after we got back from honeymoon, I decided to take the sneakers over to Bali with us and do them over there!
I’m glad that I did, it was a nice relaxing environment to be creative and I was happy with the final product.
Here are some photos of myself gettin’ creative in Bali, taken by my wonderful wife. Also the start and finish of the poster design!
Final Product Hanging……
